Our growing understanding of COVID-19 is prominent in our daily work here at the credit union. We know we must do all we can to help prevent the spread of this outbreak. It’s times like these where we turn to each other for support and guidance. We take the threat of COVID-19 very seriously and SafeAmerica Credit Union has precautions in place to protect our employees, their families as well as our members.
The credit union is following the recommended CDC workplace guidelines and encouraging our employees to practice good hygiene by cleaning hands regularly throughout the day, with no handshaking, disinfecting surfaces and increasing ventilation. Meetings and travel arrangements have been adjusted, food sharing has been limited and most of all we are encouraging any employee who feels sick or has a sick family member to stay home.
Because we’re a credit union and handle money transactions in our day-to-day routine, we would like to assure you that steps have been taken to ensure we handle cash with caution. When visiting a branch or ATM we encourage our members to do the same. Wear gloves and be sure to wash your hands when handling money.
The credit union has plans in place for events such as these and you can be assured your money is safe and protected no matter what. We continually work with our trusted partners to ensure the operations at SafeAmerica will continue to run as normal through these uncertain times.
Now is a great time to use online or mobile banking if you don’t already do so. Most transactions that take place in a branch can be performed online. Click here for more details or to enroll.
