SafeAmerica Credit Union employees traded in their Columbus holiday time off to help package meals for Kids Against Hunger Bay Area, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to feed starving children and help end world hunger.
On Monday, October 8, 54 SafeAmerica Credit Union employees visited the Kids Against Hunger satellite packaging facility in Pleasanton, CA to help lend a hand and package and ship life-saving meals to starving and malnourished children in developing countries and the United States.
In just about two hours, we were able to package 20,952 meals for hungry kids around the world.
Kids Against Hunger Bay Area operates as a satellite of Kids Against Hunger, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Kids Against Hunger is a national organization with packaging satellites in over 16 U.S. states and Canada.
