It’s no secret that People Helping People is an integral philosophy to our credit union. In 2016, we were proud to continue to support a few organizations that strive to improve our communities every single day. However, we were most proud to extend our support to more charities than ever before, supporting the communities we have dedicated ourselves to since our founding through some of their most trying times.
SafeAmerica Credit Union, its employees and members donated over $10,000 to multiple charities, but our community outreach extended far between monetary support. Through the course of the year, we held fundraising activities and competitions in every single one of our branches for causes such as Credit Union 4 Kids, and we conducted a virtual fundraiser with Alameda County Food Bank which raised over twice as much as our projected goal.
We were honored to offer our continuous support to support those who defend our nation with the the Veteran’s Memorial Park Project in Pleasanton. We were proud to extend our support to the California Council on Economic Education, which established a groundbreaking economic education to students who previously had no access to such resources. We supported the American Red Cross, and offered our aid to the victims of California Wildfires and the Oakland Warehouse Fire, as we found members of our own communities in need of relief.
We have dedicated ourselves to our communities during thick and thin. In 2016 we also pledged our help to the Pleasanton Weekly Holiday Fund, Axis Community Health, Agape Villages Foster Family Agency, YMCA, Valley Human Society, REACH (Resources Education Activities Community and Housing), Healing Therapies Foundation, Sunflower Hill, The Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley, and ValleyCare Charitable Foundation.
SafeAmerica Credit Union is a part of your community and will continue to support causes that need help. We encourage you to help with our endeavors, and together we can continue to help our communities thrive.
